Additional Information

Description:

Cricocosmia jinningensis was an abundant palaeoscolecid worm in the Early Cambrian Chengjiang Biota of Yunnan, China. It resembled modern priapulids and is important for understanding the evolution of early ecdysozoans. Cricocosmia had paired lateral sclerites and ventral projections, which may be related to early panarthropod legs. It was a detritivore that lived in shallow burrows.
